DIAL PROFESSIONAL Soft Scrub Disinfectant Cleanser, 36oz Bottle, 6/carton Review

Some household messes are just real hard to clean up. I've tried a variety of cleansers including Ajax, Comet and several others. All involved hard work and none were totally satisfactory. Well, that's just the nature of tough messes, I figured. My wife introduced me to Soft Scrub with Bleach Cleanser. I was skeptical. It just didn't seem harsh enough to get the job done. I was wrong. Nasty jobs are still nasty jobs, but this product works better than most with less effort.

I remember when Consumer Reports advised that one popular brand of cleanser shouldn't be used on anything finer grained than concrete. Well, I've had that type of experience with some cleansers. Things that were repeatedly cleaned gradually took on a "frosted" appearance from the microabrasion scars. Glassy surfaces were no longer glassy or polished looking. Soft Scrub doesn't seem to effect things that way, at least with my limited experience. We've done some heavy-duty scrubbing with no apparent damage, yet this product seems to work as good, if not better than many of the others. We've used it on a host of tasks, particularly with respect to keeping the kitchen and bathroom clean. It's tough on dirt and removes stains, mold and soap scum. We use it on our sinks, stone countertops, glass stovetop, floor, shower, toilets and a variety of other applications. It's a good product, the best we've found for these heavy-duty tasks.

Honeywell 38002 Enviracare Universal Replacement Pre-Filter Review

I follow the manufacturer's recommendation to change the pre-filter every 3 months on all my Honeywell Air Cleaners with HEPA filters. These replacement filters come boxed in a set of two. The pre-filter simply wraps around the round HEPA filter, which is inside the unit, and attaches to itself by means of two velcro fasteners. It takes less than five minutes to change the pre-filter. In between changes, I vacuum my pre-filters to remove accumulated dust and pet hair from them. These pre-filters do help to remove some odors from rooms, especially if you are able to keep the space enclosed where you have the air cleaner running.
Be sure to keep a box or two of these pre-filters on hand in case they become back ordered. The HEPA filter needs to be changed in 1-3 years, depending on conditions where it is located.

IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Cleaner Review

This is the gas and odor filter for the IQAir Healthpro PLUS. You can upgrade a HealthPro to a Plus (check IQAir's website for details). I just got the Plus to start with, and my wife and I are glad we spent the extra money upfront.
The filters seem pricey. THEY AREN'T. The filters last a stupefyingly long time. It filters some 200 gases including VOCs. I just used the filter to easily clear the air in minutes after spraying some Bissell carpet cleaner that has a ungodly strong "scent".
An IQAir Healthpro Plus saved my wife and I from suffering while several brush fires over the past few years have lapped at our neighborhood. Before having the IQAir, we both suffered gravely whenever brush fires were anywhere within 50 miles.
After two years of us raving about our IQAir, our next door neighbors (asthma sufferers) sought refuge in our home during the last fire which was a couple miles upwind and within sight of our house. Woodlore 3" Suede Bar And 3" Brush Review

I used the eraser and brush, along with some leather cleaner, to clean some dirty suede chaps that I wear horseback riding and the results are pretty impressive. The suede was pretty filty - caked with dirt, worn smooth in places, cleaning was long overdue. (I've never seen suede shoes or jackets that looked that bad.) Now it looks almost as good as new. My only complaint is that black suede doesn't look brand new when you're done because it's hard to get all the white eraser particles out. Cleaning with just the brush and leather cleaner (no eraser) will keep black suede black, but it won't get rid of the worst dirt or bring out the nap in smoothed areas.

If you're wondering how I cleaned my chaps: First I used the brush to get rid of caked dirt, then I used some leather cleaner on the brush to clean off whatever remaining dirt I could. After rinsing and drying the brush, I used it to bring back the nap of the suede where I could. Then I used the eraser to clean the spots that I had thought were permanently smoothed, and finished with the brush to bring back the nap in those areas as well.

The idea for a foaming soap is to reduce the time it takes for washing your hands. Instead of trying to work on a lather, a foaming soap is already made up of soap suds. I used this product for the first time.I cleaned three floor rugs today with this product.Two of the rugs had no pet smell lingering, but the last rug, which was the most smelly, still had a strong pet smell after cleaning it.I will probably have to re-do this last rug because of the high use it receives and since the dogs tend to like to sit on it. The deoderant in the formula needs to be stronger since pet smells are so strong. Also the formula could use more brighteners in it since I don't see much of a difference after cleaning the rugs.

we've had this oven for around 2 years.several months ago, the number pad wasn't registering.at first it was just the "4" (which is a crucial number in the baking scene though) and then other numbers.then the bake, broil, etc controls went on the fritz.looking online this is a fairly common problem.we had a oven repair person come in and he explained that this model has problems with humidity rising into the control electronics and breaking them.upon removing the front panel there is a afterthought appearing vent system in place that seems inadequate for the job of keeping moisture out of the control panel area.i replaced the control panel and now it seems the actual membrane behind the numbers needs replacing too.all in all something that may happen again and with my own labor is already at $400.the repair person quoted us $600 or more for the repair.ouch!would consider a LONG extended warranty if even considering this model.

This wall oven was installed as part of an overall kitchen remodel and has been the most disappointing feature of the whole project. It is not intuitive to use, and the manual is not very helpful.It seemed to be at least 50 degrees too low the first few times we used it. After searching on the Internet, we found the instructions for recalibrating it, but the maximum possible increase is only 30 degrees.Even after recalibrating up 30 degrees, it still didn't seem to be heating to the correct temperature.Everything was taking 15-20 minutes longer than the directions, and anything with dough didn't rise properly.We got an inside-the-oven thermometer and finally figured out the problem.Even though the digital temperature read-out says its at the correct temperature and the temperature notification beep sounds, it still takes another 10-15 minutes (!!) to actually reach the correct temperature.So, recalibrating up 30 degrees is right on the money - but the digital read-out and the notification beep are not accurate and there doesn't seem to be any way to reset them.Removing/returning/replacing is expected to be a nightmare.We will never, ever buy an appliance again without searching high and low for consumer ratings. This model didn't seem to have any, and we purchased it because it was one of only a few in this size and our general belief that Maytag's products were reliable. Big mistake!
