I bought this brush a few weeks after my boyfriend and I adopted our cat.She was 2 years old when we adopted her, had grown up on the streets, and probably had never had any silly human try to brush her teeth.However, given the prevalence of dental disease in domestic cats, I was determined to try to brush her teeth regularly.But she was my first cat, and admittedly, I was scared to brush her teeth.

Therefore, I bought this toothbrush because I liked the idea that I might be able to brush lots of teeth surfaces as quickly as possible (and therefore avoid being bitten).But in practice, I now have better experience brushing her teeth (very quickly; less than 30 seconds), with a baby human's toothbrush or a conventional cat toothbrush when she falls asleep on the couch.The problem with this toothbrush is that it's too large for my cat's mouth, and distresses her more than necessary.With a smaller conventional cat brush, however, I can get a quick brushing in while she is asleep, and she only fidgets a little bit before she falls back asleep.

Granted, the effectiveness of this brush may vary according to your cat's size;my cat is on the smaller side(skinny 9lb girl), and the brush is just too much for her.
