Assorted Ballcap Buddy cap washer Review

I was excited for this order to come in because I have several hats that need a good cleaning. I was apprehensive at first because most of the reviews talked about this product being used in a dishwasher. I don't have one and trusted the product's details that it would work just fine in a top loaded washing machine. So product received and a load of laundry later, I find the cap holder and my cap completely wrecked. I have no idea what happened... followed the directions as followed: washer not super loaded and machine set to gentle. I opened the lid and the cap form was ripped to shreds. I wish I could upload pics to this review. I want my money back damn it.... but I guess that's what I get for buying a $6 product. From all the success stories, I can only assume that this product REALLY only works in dishwashers.
