This only works on the disposal side of the sink. The top grip allows you to scoop trash in to the disposal without geting your hands or other utensils involved. The stopper HOLDS water without any leaks! Came back after 30 minutes or so and the water level looked the same. The small grip makes removing the stopper extremely easy. After rinsing dishes, just pull the stopper out, turn on the disposal and you're done. Wish they would make something similar for the other side of the sink. As usual, Amazon delivered the product fast.
